A case of Behcet syndrome

Abstract
Objective: A case of Beh˜et syndrome, which is very rare in Europe and Poland, is presented.
Case report: A 23-year-old man was admitted to the Department of Infectious Diseases for diagnosis and
treatment because of serious symptoms including fever, oral aphthosis, and genital ulcers with
rash. The diagnosis was based on clinical findings and first laboratory tests. The patient was treated with corticosteroids (dexamethazone, Dexaven) with a very good result. After two weeks of treatment he left the hospital.
Conclusions: Apart from the most common causes of fever there are varieties of diseases and syndroms
rarely diagnosed.
