Abstract
Background: Percutaneous Nephrolithotomy (PNL) has been successfully and safely used to treat patients with renal stones for more than a quarter of a century.
Case Report: We present our experience with PNL in a case with recurrent renal calculi following a previous surgery of ureterocalicostomy, and review the relative literature.
Conclusions: PNL is a safe and effective method with minimal morbidity even in patients with previous open renal surgery.
Keywords: percutaneous nephrolithotomy, stone, ureterocalicostomy
