Background: Pulmonary glomus tumors are extremely rare lesions, that few cases have been described previously. We present the clinical and pathological features of a case with endobronchial glomus tumor.
Case Report: A 60-year of man was admitted to our clinic with cough for 6 months. Chest computed tomography demonstrated an atelectasis of right middle lobe. Tumoral lesion was seen in right middle lobe bronch in fiberoptic bronchoscopy. Bronchoscopic biopsy was interpreted as glomus tumor with smooth muscle actin (+) and vimentin (+). The patient underwent surgery and right middle lobe sleeve lobectomy was performed.
Conclusions: If glomus tumor keep in mind, diagnosis can made with histopathological assessment in bronchoscopic specimen. Depending on the localization of the tumor; surgery must be kept as conservative as possible for such tumors with benign features.
