Abstract
Neurological complications after liver transplantation occur - according to literature - in 8,4-47% of graft recipients. The authors present the case of 28-year-old male patient who presented in the postoperative period with central nervous system disorders: aphasia, quadriplegia, dysphagia and finally, coma. Radiological examination (MRI) did not revealed any lesions. The probable cause was CMV infection. The neurological status improved immediately after administration of gancyclovir. The whole neurological rehabilitation lasted 1.5 month. The patient was discharged from hospital in the good general condition.
