Diffuse hyperintensity lesions are seen in the cortices of bilateral frontal, parietal, and insular areas and in bilateral thalami. (B) Periodic sharp wave complexes (PSWCs) are noted on the electro-encephalogram. This was recorded at almost the same time as the MRI in A above.
