(A, 10× magnification; B, 40× magnification) Hematoxylin and eosin-stained slides show portal tract infiltration by a mediumsized cell population of mononuclear cells, characterized by the presence of cleared reniform nuclei, dispersed chromatin, scant, pale eosinophilic cytoplasm, and indistinct nucleoli. A mixed inflammatory cell infiltrate composed of lymphocytes, plasma cells, histiocytes, and numerous eosinophils are present. (C and D, 40× magnification) The lesional cells are positive for CD1a and Langerin immunohistochemical stains, respectively.
