Figure 8. Diaphragm repair with synthetic mesh. After the resection and extraction of all the compromised structures (lung, diaphragm, pericardium and liver), the diaphragm was repaired with a composite mesh made of monofilament polyester on one side and hydrophilic absorbable collagen film on the other. The Parietex mesh was fixed to the anterior diaphragmatic remnant and then to the right and left remnant.
