Figure 1. On retinography, papillary edema was only evident in the left eye (LE). Fluorescent angiography revealed hyperfluorescence with defocusing of the papilla in the LE, but in the right eye (RE) there was no change. Optical coherence tomography of the optic nerve quantitatively detected bilateral papillary edema (mild in the RE and severe in the LE).
