On admission, abdominal computed tomography (CT) with contrast enhancement showed a large low-density area in the right psoas muscle with ring enhancement around it (A, B; arrows) and air density areas inside it (A, B; arrows), suggesting a large, gas-producing right iliopsoas muscle abscess (IMA). Abdominal CT with contrast enhancement on day 19 revealed the reappearance of the right IMA after drainage tube removal (C, D; arrows).
