A reconstructed computed tomography chest scan shows subcutaneous neck emphysema (white arrows) and a pocket-like air-filled tissue defect (yellow arrow) sized 10×32 mm and located in the distal third of the trachea approximately 1.5 cm above the bifurcation, in its dorsal wall to the right of the midline. Presumably a congenital diverticulum with rupture.
