Figure 5. Macroscopic examination of the resected specimen revealed a 10-cm retrograde intussusception of the descending colon (A, B). Multiple ulcers were observed in the overlapping area (C). Microscopic findings revealed that the ulcers were confined to the muscle layer, with mucosal necrosis, submucosal hemorrhage, edema, and neutrophilic infiltration around the ulcer (arrowhead) (D).
