Figure 4. Change in platelet count, activated partial thromboplastin time (APTT), prothrombin time (PT), D-dimer, and PT-international normalized ratio (INR) after heparin exposure. Heparin was initiated on the first day after admission, and platelet counts decreased by more than 50% on day 10 after admission, but the lowest value was always not less than 20×109. After switching to argatroban on day 13, platelet counts gradually increased and returned to normal level on day 15 after admission. APTT, PT, D-dimer, and PT-INR gradually returned to the normal range after argatroban therapy.
