Figure 1 The CT imaging before surgery revealed a large ventral hernia in the anterior abdominal wall in the mesogastric region (the white arrows). The hernia sac measured 15 cm in the latero-lateral direction, 6 cm in the anteroposterior direction, and 11 cm in the craniocaudal direction. The inferior pole appeared to extend slightly over the umbilical level, creating a slight skin fold, whereas the superior pole emerged around 13 cm below the xiphoid process.
