Figure 1 Coronal CT shows swelling of the left pelvic wall with surrounding air accumulation (red circle), which was initially diagnosed as diffuse cellulitis and pelvico-rectal abscess. Notably, a faint low-density shadow corresponding to the occult bramble foreign body was present but not identified at the time; this shadow was later confirmed to be the early manifestation of the foreign body before water absorption.
