Figure 3 Axial T2-weighted MRI scan of the anal region (performed at admission to our center, November 2023). The image clearly demonstrates an abscess cavity in the left ischiorectal fossa (red circle) with a central low-signal spot. This low-signal spot was confirmed intraoperatively to be the residual bramble foreign body, and the surrounding high-signal area indicates surrounding inflammatory edema.
