Figure 5 (A–C) Tumor cells displayed both spindle and epithelioid morphology. The spindle cells exhibited oval to elongated nuclei with fine chromatin, conspicuous nucleoli, and moderate cytoplasm with ill-defined cell borders. The epithelioid cells showed round nuclei and abundant cytoplasm with similar nuclear features. The tumor extended into the muscularis propria. The mitotic rate was 3 per 50 high-power fields. Mild nuclear pleomorphism was present.
