Figure 2. Technetium Tc 99m medronate injection, 22.6 mCi, whole skeleton bone scan, while treated with voriconazole. Patient had severe diffuse pain. Findings include multifocal sites of markedly abnormal uptake in the upper posterior lateral ribs bilaterally, heterogeneous sites of abnormal uptake throughout both arms and scapula, left greater than right, and in the small joints of the hands. The left tibia, left femur, and uptake in the small joints of the feet were also noted to be increased.
