Figure 4 Classification of malfunctions during robot-assisted surgery at our hospital. Among 53 malfunction cases identified in 678 robot-assisted surgeries, instrument-related failures were the most common (47 cases, 89%). System errors occurred in 3 cases, including the unrecoverable malfunction in the present case, which required conversion to laparoscopic surgery.
