Figure 2 Histopathology of the resected mass. A 4.0-cm relatively well-circumscribed tumor was excised (A). The tumor displays a pattern less arrangement of atypical spindled cells with no identifiable line of differentiation (B). Immunohistochemical stains confirm no evidence of thyroid cell differentiation and no reactivity for calcitonin depicted (C).
