Table 2 Coagulation mixing study results. Immediate testing of a 1: 1 mix of patient and normal pooled plasma resulted in an activated partial thromboplastin time (aPTT) of 31 seconds, whereas testing of the same mix after a 1-hour incubation at 37 °C resulted in an aPTT of 43 seconds, which indicates likely presence of a factor VIII inhibitor prolonging aPTT by 12 seconds upon incubation.
