Abstract
Case Report: This report describes a case of difficult intubation of a patient subjected to myocardial revascularization due to unstable coronary disease. Effective intubation was achieved only after simultaneous use of both intubating laryngeal mask airway (ILMA) and bronchoscope. Intubation attempts with separate application of these facilities proved unsuccessful. Conclusions: It is concluded that certain adaptations in education and organisation of work of anaesthetic teams are necessary in order to manage such cases safely.
Keywords: difficult intubation, laryngeal mask airway, bronchofibroscopic intubation
