Abstract
Background: Cardiac liver sclerosis is a rare clinical condition that, to our knowledge, has not been deeply studied, so far.Case Report: We report a case of severe right heart insufficiency complicated by advanced liver failure in which the clinical conditions of the patient were monitored with echocardiography and Doppler sonography, before and after medical treatment. Conclusions: This clinical case indicates that monitoring of splenic vein and pulmonary artery systolic pressure (PASP) by Doppler sonography, allows effective non-invasive assessment of the progressive worsening of the liver failure as well as the severity of right cardiac insufficiency.
