Abstract
Background: Reconstruction of the penis in female-to-male transsexuals are complex and challenging. The neophallus is an imitation of the penis and physiologic erection is not possible. To the best of our knowledge, Doppler assessment of hemodynamic responses to erotic audiovisual stimulation in the arteries supplying the neophallus have not been reported before. Case Report: Doppler findings in the neophallus, which is formed from transplanted bone and soft tissues in two cases of female-to-male transsexuals during audiovisual sexual stimulation were presented. Conclusions: Although neophallus lacks cavernosal or erectile tissue, the arteries supplying it respond to audiovisual sexual stimulation.
