Abstract
Background: Beh˜et’s disease (BD), which was first described in 1937 is known to be complex multisystem
disease, characterized by oral and genital aphthae, pustular vasculitic cutaneous lesions and ocular, gastrointestinal and vascular manifestations.
Case Report: We present a case of Beh˜et’s disease without vascular involvement, with thrombus formation
after central venous catheterization and subsequent recovery, with isolated vena jugular interna
dilatation.
Conclusions: In conclusion, we would like to remind that to reduce the invasive vascular procedures in BD
patients although without any other risk factors, would decrease the morbidity.
Keywords: Behcet disease, central ven catheterisation, vena jugularis internal dilatation
