Abstract
Background: Loop Transverse Colostomy (LTC) is an effective method of defunctioning distal colon especially in inoperable cancers. However, it is also associated with complications like prolapse.
Case Report: We present a case of LTC complicated by prolapse. This was treated by excision of the affected limb with a linear stapler. This treatment is ideal for frail patients and can be performed under local anaesthetic.
Conclusions: We discuss a simple and effective method of treatment for this condition.
