Abstract
Background: Malignant lymphoma comprises 5% of all testicular malignancies. Nearly all cases are of non-Hodgkin’s type. By far the most common variety is diffuse large B-cell lymphoma.
Case Report: A 31-year-old man with primary malignant lymphoma of right testis associated with an unusual degree of sclerosis and nodularity is reported. There was extensive involvement of the testis, epididymis and spermatic cord. Several diagnostic tests revealed no apparent
additional involvement specially in lumbar and para-aortic lymph nodes. The patient was treated with radical orchiectomy under the diagnosis of testicular tumor and the histopathological diagnosis was non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma of diffuse, medium-sized B cell type.
Conclusions: In this case we report an unusual morphological presentation of testis lymphoma with extensive sclerosis. The histopathologic differential diagnosis of a testicular mass with large degree of sclerosis was Inflammatory pseudotumor, sclerosing Sertoli cell tumor, non- Hodgkin’s lymphoma and germ cell tumors. We used Immunohistochemistery for diagnosis in this study.
