Brucellosis associated with thrombophilebitis: a case report

Abstract
Background: Thrombophlebitis due to Brucella is a very rare complication herein that report.
Case Report: A 21-year-old male patient was admitted to Infectious Diseases Department with right leg pain, swelling and rush. Thrombophlebitis is detected, the pathogen is identified from the blood culture, all other causes were excluded and he responded well to antibiotics.
Conclusions: Early detection and suitable therapy of Brucellosis are crucial to prevent problematic complications of the disease.
